"Sharpening Perspectives"

Online Confrence (7).png

The Together Conference is an initiative, born from the collaboration of two independent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) providers; BSL Interpretations and Sign Senei, dedicated to reshaping the landscape of Sign Language Interpreting and Translation and supported by BSL 365 Interpreter. In response to the changes within our community, we have come together with a shared vision: to create an inclusive space where equality and passion for our professions can thrive, unburdened by the traditional constraints of legacy membership organisations.

Our organising team is comprised of registered and practising professionals who are deeply committed to their ongoing development and that of their respective fields (Interpreting, Translation, Education, Supervision/Mentoring and Training).

The Together Conference aims to transcend traditional boundaries, providing a platform where innovative ideas and professional growth can flourish. Our goal is to build a community that champions equality, encourages continuous learning, and supports one another in our collective professional journey.

We recognise that progress cannot be achieved in isolation, which is why we have extended invitations to a diverse array of colleagues, encompassing a range of professionals to help guide our work and planning. This collaborative spirit is at the heart of our mission, as we strive to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose, even while we are physically apart.

Our aspiration is to create a lasting annual tradition that invites colleagues from around the world to join us, fostering a global sense of togetherness and professional solidarity via this unique online conference.

If you would be interested in being part of our submission review panels (for the call for papers and competition winners) we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we are stronger.

The conference will be held online and will be accessible in English, British Sign Language, International Sign, and English Captions.

Spanish and French interpretations can be provided with sufficient demand.
