1. Introduction
Welcome to The Together Conference.
The Together Conference for Sign Language Interpreters and Translators is a trading name of BSL 365 Training Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.
These govern the use of our website, participation in our conference and associated activities, and the submission and use of conference materials.
By accessing or using our website, you agree to these website terms. Additional contractual conditions may apply when purchasing tickets, submitting proposals or agreeing to present at the conference.

3. Use of our website
Our website provides information about the conference, opportunities to submit proposals, ticket purchasing information, professional resources and access to conference-related activities.
You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted areas of the website.
- Interfere with the website's security or operation.
- Copy, reproduce or commercially distribute protected website content without permission.
- Submit unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate material.

- Share restricted conference resources or personal access credentials without permission.

4. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the original content, branding, website design, graphics and conference-produced materials belong to BSL 365 Training Limited or are used with permission from their respective owners.
The Together Conference name, branding and associated materials must not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission.
Presenters retain ownership of their independently created research, presentations and other original materials, subject to any third-party rights and the permissions granted under their Presenter Agreement.
The ownership and use of official conference recordings are addressed separately below.
5. Call for Papers and submissions
The Together Conference welcomes proposals from professionals, researchers, educators and others working within or connected to sign language interpreting and translation.
We may invite submissions for presentations, panel discussions, posters, pre-recorded contributions and other conference activities.
By submitting a proposal, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the proposed material.
- Your submission does not unlawfully infringe another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- You understand that submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance into the conference programme.
Submissions are assessed through our established review process.
We aim to anonymise proposals as far as reasonably possible before sharing them with our Review Panel. Reviewers may nevertheless recognise a proposal through its subject matter, references or other contextual information.
We reserve the right to determine which submissions are accepted and how they are included within the conference programme.
Submission alone does not transfer ownership of your work to BSL 365 Training Limited or authorise its commercial publication.
Accepted presenters will be required to accept our Presenter Agreement before participating.
6. Accepted presentations and presenter permissions
When a proposal is accepted, presenters will receive further information about their participation, including the applicable Presenter Agreement.
Presenters retain copyright in their original research, presentation materials and independently created resources unless otherwise expressly agreed.
Under the Presenter Agreement, presenters will grant BSL 365 Training Limited, trading as The Together Conference, a worldwide, royalty-free, continuing, non-exclusive and transferable licence, including the right to sublicense, to use their presentations and associated materials for agreed conference purposes.
These permissions will include:
- Recording, broadcasting and distributing presentations.
- Editing and producing official conference recordings.
- Creating captions, transcripts and accessible versions.
- Incorporating relevant presentation materials into official recordings and associated resources.
- Publishing and distributing recordings through conference platforms.
- Selling or licensing conference recordings and associated resources.
- Including recordings in future conference packages, educational resources and professional development activities.
- Using reasonable extracts and promotional materials to advertise the conference and its resources.
- Authorising third-party platforms and distributors to host, deliver or distribute the materials.
The licence will continue for the duration of the relevant intellectual property rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Presenters will not automatically receive royalties or additional payment from future distribution or commercial use unless separately agreed.
Presenters retain ownership of their underlying original work.
The licence does not provide unrestricted permission to extract and commercially exploit independent teaching resources, research or other materials outside the agreed conference purposes.
Any applicable moral rights and performers' rights will be addressed in the Presenter Agreement.
7. Ownership and use of conference recordings
Official conference recordings are commissioned and produced for The Together Conference.
To the extent permitted by law and subject to the rights of presenters and other contributors, BSL 365 Training Limited will own the copyright in its original audiovisual productions and other conference-created materials.
The company may retain, reproduce, publish, distribute, license and sell official recordings in accordance with the relevant presenter permissions.
Recordings may remain available following the conclusion of the conference and may be included in future resources or commercial packages.
A presenter's withdrawal from future conference activities will not automatically revoke previously granted recording permissions.
Any request concerning an existing recording will be considered under the applicable Presenter Agreement, intellectual property legislation and data protection law.
8. Third-party materials
Presenters are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights and permissions for material included in their contributions.
This includes photographs, videos, research extracts, illustrations and other copyright-protected resources.
Where required, permissions must cover the intended recording, distribution and commercial use of the presentation.
Presenters must inform us of any material that cannot be included in recordings or distributed commercially.
We reserve the right to remove material where the necessary permissions are unavailable or where its inclusion may infringe another person's rights.
9. Recording and audience participation
Conference sessions may be recorded and made available to delegates or other audiences under the applicable access arrangements.
Participants will receive appropriate information about recording arrangements.
Where practical, attendees will be informed about available ways to contribute without appearing in recordings.
Attendees must not independently record, reproduce, distribute or sell conference sessions without authorisation.
10. Tickets and conference access
Tickets provide access to the sessions, activities and resources specified within the relevant ticket description.
Different ticket categories may include different access periods or additional resources.
Ticket holders are responsible for checking the access arrangements and relevant conditions before purchase.
Tickets are intended for individual use unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Purchasing a ticket does not transfer ownership of conference content or permit its unauthorised reproduction or distribution.
Additional booking, cancellation and refund conditions will be provided during the purchasing process.
Nothing in these conditions affects applicable statutory consumer rights.
11. Changes and cancellations
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme, speakers, schedule and delivery arrangements where necessary.
Where a conference is cancelled or substantially changed, the applicable booking conditions and relevant consumer protection legislation will determine the available remedies.
12. Accessibility
The Together Conference aims to provide an accessible professional conference.
Accessibility arrangements may vary according to the nature of the activity, the delivery platform and the resources available.
Information about the relevant arrangements will be published on our website.
Participants with specific access requirements are encouraged to contact us so that we can discuss suitable arrangements.
13. Data protection
Personal information collected through our website and conference activities is processed in accordance with our .
Acceptance of these does not constitute blanket consent to every use of personal information.
Where separate consent is legally required, we will request it.
14. External services
We use external providers for aspects of conference administration and delivery.
These may include Dropbox for document storage, Zoom for online conferencing, LineUpr for conference programme and delegate services, and OpenAI's ChatGPT for authorised website development and administrative tasks.
Additional providers may be used for ticketing, payments, communications and website hosting.
These services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content of unrelated external websites linked from our website.
15. Liability
We take reasonable care in the management of our website and conference activities.
Presentations reflect the views, experiences and research of their individual contributors and do not necessarily represent the views of BSL 365 Training Limited or The Together Conference.
Nothing in these excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Governing law
These are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in other jurisdictions.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these to reflect changes in our activities, services or legal requirements.
The latest version will be available through our website.
Changes will not automatically alter existing contractual agreements or retrospectively grant new intellectual property permissions.
