Dr Aurélia NGG

Dr Aurélia NGG is a French Sign Language interpreter, researcher and interpreter trainer based in France. She has worked professionally since 2012, interpreting between French, French Sign Language, English and International Sign.

Aurélia holds a PhD in Sign Language Translation Studies from Radboud University, where her research focused on International Sign interpreting. She is also a lecturer at Paris 8 University, teaching community interpreting and contributing to the education of future interpreting professionals.

Her academic and professional interests centre on the relationship between interpreting research and everyday practice, with a particular focus on interpreter education and continuing professional development. She regularly delivers research-informed training to sign language interpreters in France and internationally.

Aurélia is also the founder and editor of The 20-20, an international professional newsletter for sign language interpreters. Through the publication, she shares research, professional perspectives and developments from interpreting communities around the world.
